This includes furnishing living spaces, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, and creatively dressing up fireplace walls or entertainment units. Did you know a national deadlift record holder lives right here in PB? And would you have also guessed that she is 63 years young and the founder of an innovative athletic wear brand? Meet Jacqui Hook, owner of Tenáz Athletics.

Where are you from and how long have you lived and worked in PB?
I'm originally from New Jersey. I moved to L.A. in 1987 and then to PB in 2011.

How long have you been in business?
I started my business in 2016. We design, manufacture, and sell innovative women's athletic apparel. We recently launched our first product, Tenáz Tops, super-stylish athletic tops featuring breathable, stretch-mesh sleeves -- the perfect alternative to sleeveless tanks. They make arms look firm and toned, while keeping skin cool and dry. Our athletic wear is manufactured in the USA and designed for ultra-comfort and optimal functionality.

When did your business open?
The business opened in 2012 and has been growing every since. I started off as a mobile/outdoor trainer, but felt I wasn't offering my clients as much as I could. After a relocation and expansion, the business is currently thriving and clients are reaping the benefits!
